Watershed Day Program
3/99 Kenny Street
Wollongong NSW 2500
Watershed’s 9-week program (which includes Group Work, Case Management and Crisis Intervention / Counselling and Referral) has been developed by experts to counter the effects of substance abuse and to give our clients the best chance to overcome their substance use issues in a non-residential setting.
This program is designed for those who are not yet ready for residential rehabilitation, are currently waiting on admission to a residential service, have other work and family commitments, are exiting correctional services or may have existing legal issues in relation to their drug and or alcohol use (such as probation and parole, MERIT, Court System) or are currently on a pharmacotherapy treatment program (such as methadone, buprenorphine or suboxone treatment) and wish to access additional drug and alcohol support – perhaps with a view to reducing dependence on these substances.
Individual attention is critical, so every client is ensured to receive valuable one-on-one time in addition to the development of an individual treatment plan to meet their unique needs.

Be Smart Recovery Program
Mondays 530pm-730pm – Registration is required.
Be Smart is a 6-week program and will be facilitated on various occasions throughout the year.
To commence this program, a minimal number of 6 people is required. All ages for participants are welcome with the youngest permitted to attend will be 16 years of age.
The Be SMART Program has been designed to assist people who are affected by the addictive behaviour of someone close to them. The program aims to help participants develop more effective coping strategies and find a greater sense of fulfilment through looking at:
- Motivation to change
- Self-care & self-rewards
- Assertive communication
- Safety & support
- Coping with lapses
Being in a close relationship can be like riding an emotional rollercoaster. Grief, anger, resentment, frustration, hope, disgust and disappointment can all be experienced. The program recognises that being in a close relationship with someone struggling with an addiction can be a frustrating, painful and sometimes lonely journey, in which it is easy to lose one’s bearings.
With so much time and energy focused on the problems of the other person, it can be easy to lose sight of what is important in your own life. Rather than focusing on the other person, the program invites participants to spend some time concentrating on themselves and their goals.
