Looking to kick-start your recovery? Watershed offers detox to recovery, all under the same roof!

The Watershed six-week residential rehabilitation program (which includes Case Management and a treatment/early intervention plan) has been developed by experts to counter the effects of problematic substance use and to give clients the best chance at long-term recovery. Watershed rehabilitation provides support and supervision for clients who must have completed a detox (either at Watershed or another facility) before entering the program.

You will receive one-to-one counselling in which you can set goals, ask questions and guide your treatment. We bring empathy and collaboration to our approach, believing you are the ultimate decision-maker in your future. You will be encouraged to participate in community living and take on daily tasks and responsibilities. Here you can learn life skills, build confidence and gain insight into how you can relate to others… always in a supportive environment.

Therapeutic Group Program

While staying with us in a safe, smoke-free and drug-free environment, you will undertake an evidence-based live-in program, which provides strategies to help you:

  • reduce substance use
  • manage life challenges
  • develop goals
  • and prevent relapse, towards supporting lives free from the harms of drugs or alcohol.
  • Aftercare support

We provide Nicotine Replacement Therapy to help you quit smoking. All Lives Lived Well sites are non-smoking.

Health Promotion and Harm Prevention Program

Provides regular and structured education sessions on HIV, Hepatitis C, STDs, Heroin Overdose, Nutrition, Relapse Prevention, and Tai Chi.

Case Management

Assessment of a client’s individual needs and the development of a personal care plan that focuses on treatment, advocacy and referral to other services (medical, psychiatric, health and social).

Self-Help Program

Introduction to social support networks such as Narcotics Anonymous/Alcoholics Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, Smart Recovery and other identified support groups.

Rehabilitation from substance use can be gruelling – from both a physical and psychological perspective. Getting in shape with regular exercise and using meditation and relaxation techniques can better prepare clients to take on the rigours of the treatment day. The Watershed rehabilitation program offers:

  • Tai Chi.
  • Exercise.
  • Meditation & Relaxation.
  • Gardening.
Continuing Care Program

On completion of the Watershed rehabilitation program clients may be eligible to access the Transitional Living Program (Carinya). This a supported accommodation program that has an educational and living skills focus designed to help continue the successful progression toward independent living.
